The United States player and Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin enter the quarterfinals of the Abu Dhabi Open by defeating Yulia Putintseva. Putintseva made 43 unforced errors at the mean time Kenin made 57 unforced errors but Kenin managed to win over the 13th seeded player for 3-6, 7-6(5), 6-4.

Kenin says that, “The match was more than a mental match today, I have an idea about her playing style because I do training with her. I am fine with my performance but I think I am not available for 100% in the court”.
In Abu Dhabi, Kenin lost the opening set for the second continuous match. In the second set while serving at 6-5 Putintseva has match point but Kenin take the match to tie by saving the points and put down the serve of Putintseva.

Kenin will play her quarter final match with Maria Sakkari, already they both met each other and Kenin won the match for two times in 2018. The ninth seeded Maria Sakkari defeated Garbine Muguruza the former French Open and Wimbledon champion for 7-5, 6-4.
The second seeded Elina Svitolina defeats Ekaterina Alexandrova by saving two match points in the final-set tie break for 6-2, 6-7 (5), 7-6 (8). The Ukraine player got selected in the quarterfinals and will have clash with the Russian player Veronika Kudermetova.
Svitolina says that, “For every point I was in a full concentration and I don’t allow this match to spoil the good match which I played in the first set”.
By her win over Ons Jabeur for 6-2, 6-4 Aryna Sabalenka continues her 12th continuous win in tour matches. Both faced each other in the French Open, the fourth seeded Sabalenka lost to Jabeur and this current match was a great revenge for Jabeur.

Sabalenka says that, “I avoid her trick full shots by not giving enough time to perform and I guess this was the reason for today’s success. We had a good tennis in Roland Garros, there the court was very slow and she had enough time”.
After losing to Jabeur at Roland Garros, Sabalenka didn’t lose any game as a result she took titles at the indoor Ostrava and Linz tournaments last year.
After defeating Jabeur, Sabalenka got selected for the quarter finals and there she will face Elena Rybakina. The sixth seeded player defeats Daria Kasatkina for 6-3, 6-4 in her previous match.
