Thailand Open : On Sunday at the Thailand Open Super 1000 badminton tournament the women’s and men’s singles title was win by Spanish Carolina Marin and Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen in Bangkok.

The 27 years Marin defeats her Chinese opponent Tai Tzu Ying who was top seeded in Chinese Taipei’s. She also prepares to save her Olympic title in this year in Tokyo. The Chinese player completes her first match in a low score and she put all her efforts in the second match. But Marin won the match by scoring 21-9, 21-16.

Marin previously met Tai for 16 times but this was her 7th win over the top seeded.

Axelsen defeats the Hong Kong player Angus Ng Ka Long for 21-14, 21-14 and records his second continuous win in the tournament. Previously in March Axelsen won the title of All England Open Championship.

In the women’s doubles final match Indonesia players Greysia Polii and Apriyani Rahayu grabs the title by defeating the Thailand players Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjai for 21-15, 21-12.

In Men’s doubles title Taiwan players Lee Yang and Wang Chi-Lin won the Malaysian players Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong and catch the title for 16-21, 23-21, 19-21.

The Top seeded pair Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai from Thai defeats the Indonesia players Praveen Jordan and Melati Daeva Oktavianti  for 21-3, 20-22, 21-18 in the mixed doubles.
