The Australian Umpire Claire Polosak will referee the upcoming third test match between India and Australia. She became the first woman to officiate the men’s test match.

The third test match begins at Sydney on Thursday. Claire is from New South Wales, Goulburn city and before this record she also earned the name first women on field umpire in a men’s ODI match in ICC division 2 league. She referees the match between Namibia and Oman in 2019 at Windhoek.

In 2017 Australia she also grabs the first female match official record in men’s List A game.
The on-field umpires of the third test match between India and Australia was Paul Reiffel and Paul Wilson. Bruce Oxenford will be the TV umpire and Australian David Boon will referee the match.
The International panel of ICC Umpires and match organising country will choose the fourth umpire by the home cricket board.
The fourth umpire must take care of duties like bringing the new ball, carry the drinks for the umpires, In the light meter they have to check the batteries, must observe the pitch and make sure there is no obstruction in the tea interval and bring new security methods.

If one of the field umpires is not ok, the fourth umpire can took the position of third umpire. In many situations third umpire will look the duties of on-field umpires.
