Cologne Championship : Zverev Defeats France’s Adrian and Moves forward to Semifinals


Alexander Zverev, the German Tennis player who ranked No 7th in ATP rankings defeats French player Adrian Mannarino in the Cologne Championship, Germany.

He was qualified for the semifinals after his victory against the French player. He had 3 sets to defeat Adrian but lost his second set to him 6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-4.

Zverev struggles in the second set, and lost the chance to lead but later some minutes he won the match. The match extends up to 2 hours and 40 minutes. The German player won the first title of Cologne Championship 2020 this year now he is going to have his next finals within some weeks. He really feels good to won the championship in his own soil.

In the upcoming match he will face Jannik Sinner from Italy. He was a wild card player who lost 8 games continuously. Later he climbed up by defeating Gilles Simon for 6-3, 0-6, 6-4.

He defeats the Canadian young player Felix Auger-Aliassime in the finals and won the title. There is lot of chances Zverev have a clash with him again. In this Second tournament he defeats Yoshihito Nishioka for 6-3 6-4 in the quarterfinals match.

 He got qualified for the Semifinals and there he will face Diego Schwartzman, the second seeded. Diego failed to Spain player Alejandro Davidovich for 2-6, 2-5 later by his effort he won the match in this week 2-6, 7-6 (3), 6-1.
