In the Delray Beach Open the Croatian player Ivo Karlovic won the ATP tour match by scoring 27 aces. He defeats the 7th seeded Spain player Pablo Andujar for 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 in the first round. This was his first victory after the match in February.

Ivo Karlovic was named as the oldest player to won the top men’s ATP tour. Before him the American tennis player Jimmy Connors earn the name in his 42nd age in 1995.

Both American players the No 8 seed Frances Tiafoe and Donald Young had a clash and Frances won the match for 6-3, 6-4.

Roberto Quiroz met a shaky stretch in the first round but the qualifier defeat the injury to won the American player Noah Rubin for 7-6(1),6-3. The 28 years player played at the University of Southern California and the Ecuadorian bagged his second ATP tour win by this victory.

Andres Gomez, the French champion of 1990 was the uncle of Roberto, who played his final ATP tour during the initial of 1993 Delray Beach Open.

The American Christian defeats the Argentina player Tomas Martin Etcheverry for 6-4, 6-2 and had his next match with No 1 seeded Cristian Garin of Chile.
