SL vs ENG : In the first test match against England and Sri Lanka, England won the match by seven wickets at the Galle International Stadium. On the last day of the test match Jonny Bairstow and Dan Lawrence completes the last left 36 runs to win Sri Lanka.

This was the debut match for the England player Dan Lawrence. England scores total 62 runs as Bairstow hit 35 not out and Lawrence scored 21. In the second innings England touches 76 for three which makes England to succeed as 1-0 in the test series.

Sri Lanka got out for 359 runs and England need a target 74 with 3 wickets loss. When the time favors England their score turns up 14-3 to 38-3 by the contribution of Bairstow and Lawrence.

England undergoes furious attacks from Sri Lankan players Laisth Embuldeniya, Dilruwan Perera and Wanindu Hasaranga. Later Bairstow says that, “You have to put more effort because these wickets are very difficult to receive”.

“Victory in test is what we need always, it is really amazing. We have to face lot of challenges to win on the subcontinent but the victory can cheer up all the team members”.

The second test match will host at Galle and begins on Friday. England is expecting their sixth test victory in the second test match in Sri Lanka. To complete the match successfully England took 9.2 overs.

In the opening day England had a successful match and Sri Lanka’s poor batting performance allows the team to bowl out for 135. In the first innings with the contribution of England captain Joe Root 228 runs England hit total 421 massive score.

In the second innings Sri Lanka had a good performance but they failed to score a competitive target for England. The Sri Lankan skipper Dinesh Chandimal says that, “In the first innings we are not able to face both bat and ball, this is the reason why we lost the game”.
