Rafael Nadal beats the 19 years young Jannik Sinner 7-6 (4), 6-4, 6-1 in the quarter finals and entered his 13th semifinals. This was the first Grand Slam quarterfinals for the 75th ranked Sinner. Rafael won the championship for 12 times and in this 13th semifinal match he will face No 12 seed Diego Schwartzman on Friday.
Nadal said “Sinner is a young talented player, his great shots are with lot of powers. The game was very tough for two sets, he hits the ball very hard and I feel difficult with this cold weather. So it was really hard for me to knock out him from the position”.

Sinner born in the year 2001 and in the same year Nadal becomes pro. In 2005 Nadal made his French open debut, he defeats Roger Federer in the semifinals and won the trophy. In the first set I had lot of chances and also I had chances in the second set but I waste them. Extremely it was tough to against him, he was not missing that much” said Jannik Sinner.
Quarterfinals starts at night 10.30 pm and that ended by 1.30 am. The temperature was windy and cold in the low 50s (teen Celsius). In this tournament this was the first time to use artificial lights in the Paris stadium and the game goes on till midnight. Rafael Nadal says that,” Completing the match by 1.30 am is not perfect but also the biggest problem is weather it was honestly too cold to play tennis. Playing tennis in this heavy conditions will be little dangerous for the body.”

Usually they scheduled four matches per day but they include five contests instead of four. They add the postponed match which was shifted due to rain earlier. One of the main reasons for the delay of the match was the five hour defeat of No. 3 Dominic Thiem by Diego Schwartzman in five sets. “I really have no idea why they scheduled five matches this day it was a risk” said Nadal.
Rafael Nadel didn’t lose a single set in this tournament and he is going to face Schwartzman on Friday. He said that he got 2 days break for practice, to get recover and to get ready for the next match.
Last month on Rome, Nadal got defeated by Schwartzman and the No 12 seed won their recent match. “I am not sure that I have lot of confidence but the important thing was I know I can beat him” said Schwartzman. Nadal is hustling to won his 13th French Open title and 20th Grand Slam trophy overall and it will equal the record of Roger Federer.
