England assistant coach Graham Thorpe advised the England batsman ahead of the test series against India. The sweeping shot of Indian bowlers was much effective and the English men’s must have the ability to withstand this.

India and England will have a series of 4 test matches, 5 T20Is and 3 ODIs. The test series will be host in Chennai and Ahmedabad begins from February 5.
In the tournament India mostly used to spin during the trials and in these turning points the player who knows sweep shot will survive better.

Thorpe mentions it as a useful shot but also he warned the batsman not to use the sweeping in front of the spinners. Thorpe said in a video conference “In India the surface might not turn straight away some time”.
“The match can hold on and there will be a sudden change on day three or after day 3”.
“To be successful in the field you must know when and where you have to use the Sweep shot. Place the fielders in the perfect place and it will help you to rotate the strike”.
The England former test batsman says that the team members no need to look the skipper Joe Root for how to play the shot. He also says that, “He makes a good position for himself”.
There are many shots like fine sweep, Square sweep and Slog sweep. I hope he calculates the line and length of the delivery and take decision from where he was able to apply it. Thorpe also advised not to underestimate the India’s pace attack which was lead by Jasprit Bumrah.

He said that, “In the Indian bowling attack that is not only about spin but the seam attack of India is also very effective”.
The first two test matches will be held in Chennai. The next two matches with the Pink ball test will be held in Ahmedabad.
