Finally, the 18 member Indian men’s squad has been announced for the FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 Bhubaneswar-Rourkela. Indian team grouped in Pool D along with Wales, England and Spain. Harmanpreet Singh to be announced as Captain and Amit Rohidas as Vice Captain.

Chief Coach Graham Reid said, “World Cup is the most important tournament in the Hockey”. Every country chooses the best team and they believe is available to them at the time and tries to life the trophy. At the same we also tried to do with the selection of our Indian World Cup team, choosing a mixture of experienced and younger exciting players.”
“We also had a great preparation over the last two months including a Pro League series and a very tough tour to Australia against the World’s No.1”.
