World No 1 football player Lionel Messi paid tribute to the former football legend Diego Maradona, who dead last week in his age of 60. He was fined $720 (600 euros) for removing his kit to pay tribute in the field and the club Barcelona was fined $216 said the Spanish Soccer Federation.

After his win over Osasuna by scoring 4-0 leading point in the Spanish League he did his tribute. The Argentine player was fined by The Federation’s competitions committee.
After winning the match he removed his Jersey for Barcelona to show the Newell’s Old boys kit which denotes the number 10. It was the red and black Jersey of Maradona and he look at the sky and send kisses by his both hands.

Messi posted a photo of his tribute and the old photo of Maradona who wears the same Jersey. He captioned the picture with the quote “Farewell Diego” in Spanish Language.
The Federation didn’t cancel the yellow card which was shown to the Argentine player for removing his shirt.
