Latest WTA ranking released on Monday, The top two rankers Ashleigh Barty from Australia and Simona Halep from Romania didn’t participate in the US Open 2020 but still continued to stay in the same ranking positions.

Japanese champion Naomi Osaka was the only person to gain places in top 10. She won her second Grand Slam title in New York by defeating Azarenka and it was her third overall trophy.
At Flushing Meadows, Osaka reached the final in Western and Southern Open but due to an injury she had to discontinue against Azarenka. Osaka was seeded in the 3rd ranking before she was in the 9th position.
At the same time Victoria Azarenka, former world number 1 was ranked 59 previously and didn’t even won a single match this year before US tournament.
Azarenka was a two–time Australian Open champion; she participates after seven years in the US Open finals and catches the position number 14. This was her highest rank from the year 2017 January.
Jennifer Brady, an American player was also made a great move in rankings; she raised her level from 41 to 25th rank. She was the one who lost to Osaka during US Open 2020 Semi finals.
