Karolina Pliskova the top 2nd seeded Czech tennis player lost to the Russian qualifier Veronika Kudermetova 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the Ostrava Open, Czechia.

Veronika Kudermetova moved to quarterfinals there she will face the American Jennifer Brady. In the last match Brady defeats qualifier Daria Kasatkina for 7-5, 6-2. In the deciding set the Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka faced two failures and the hardworking third seeded defeats American teenager Coco Gauff for 1-6, 7-5, 7-6 (2) in Ostrava Open.

The young American teenager Coco Gauff was only 16. Before this clash she meets Sabalenka in the month of August in Lexington. There she defeats the Belarusian for 5-2 and enter the semi-finals.

The young American says, “To put pressure on my competitor, I’ve to focus on the pressure points”. Third seeded encouraged the blooming bud to concentrate on long rallies.

She said that,”Her playing level is more than her age 16, I too wish to have this force when I was 16″.

The seventh seeded Elise Mertens and Ons Jabeur defeats Karolina Muchova 6-4, 6-2 and Jelana Ostapenko 6-4, 6-4, the former French Open Champion. Due to COVID-19 the China tournaments got cancelled .Later the Ostrava Open, which was played indoor was changed into tournament.
