Petra Kvitova Childhood : Petra Kvitova was born to Jiri Kvitova and Pavla Kvitova in Bilovec, Czechoslovakia. Her father was a Vice mayor and former school teacher. She has two elder brothers Jiri and Libor, Jiri was an engineer and Libor was a school teacher.

She was introduced in tennis by her father and in her childhood days her great admiration was Czech American player Martina Navratilova. Till her age 16 she got trained in her hometown called Moravian, Fulnek and later she was advised to enter the professional career in tennis. From 2008 to 2016 she was coached by David Kotyza.

After Williams and Sharapova she was the third player to win the WTA tournament on debut. In her first appearance of the tournament she won the WTA Elite trophy in 2016.
