Petra Kvitova is a Czech professional tennis player and she turned professional in 2006. In singles she won 27 career titles among them two of them are Grand Slam titles. She won the championship in both 2011 and 2014 Wimbledon tournament. In 2011 October she reached her career high world rank no 2 and in 2016 she won the Bronze medal at the Rio Olympics. In 2011 Wimbledon championship she defeats Maria Sharapova in the final and she become the first player to win the Grand Slam title who born in 1990’s.

Biography Of Petra Kvitova :

Petra Kvitova Childhood : Petra Kvitova was born to Jiri Kvitova and Pavla Kvitova in Bilovec, Czechoslovakia. Her father was a Vice mayor and former school teacher. She has two elder brothers Jiri and Libor, Jiri was an engineer and Libor was a school teacher.

She was introduced in tennis by her father and in her childhood days her great admiration was Czech American player Martina Navratilova. Till her age 16 she got trained in her hometown called Moravian, Fulnek and later she was advised to enter the professional career in tennis. From 2008 to 2016 she was coached by David Kotyza.

Early Life Of Petra Kvitova :

After Williams and Sharapova she was the third player to win the WTA tournament on debut. In her first appearance of the tournament she won the WTA Elite trophy in 2016.  According to Forbes in 2015 Kvitova was named as the world’s sixth highest paid female athlete and among tennis players she was ranked number five.

She didn’t perform well in 2016 because of gastrointestinal and like the same she missed to succeed in 2017 because of her injury. In 2020 Brisbane International she was seeded no 5th and reach the semifinals. After the victory in 2011 this was her amazing performance in her career. But unfortunately she lost the match to eighth seeded Madison Keys in three sets.
