In the third test match against India and Australia, the Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara holds a record of scoring 6000 test runs and joins as the 11th Indian batsman to achieve the feat at Sydney Cricket Ground.

He also becomes the 6th fastest Indian batsman after great players like Sunil Gavaskar, Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid. He sores the 6000 test runs within 134 innings and becomes the member of the Elite club.

Pujara batting at 48.00 and achieves the record within 134 innings. When comparing with other Indian Batsman he was the sixth fastest batsman after Sunil Gavaskar in 117 innings, Virat Kohli in 199 innings, Sachin Tendulkar in 120 innings, Virender Sehwag in 121 innings and Rahul Dravid in 125 innings.

The other Indian players who also scores 6000 runs in the test match are VVS Laxman in 158 innings, Sourav Ganguly in 159, Dilip Vengsarkar in 155 innings, Mohammad Azharuddin in 143 innings and Gundappa Viswanath in 151 innings.

Till his 18th innings the Rajkot batsman didn’t score a century and he made his last ton in 2019 January at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Last Saturday in test cricket the 32 year old batsman scored his slowest fifty in 174 deliveries.
