Rafael Nadal was basically from a sports family, his uncle Toni was a tennis professional player and his other uncle was a professional football player. He becomes pro at his age of 15 and he was called as “King of Clay” because of his fabulous performance on clay courts. In the beginning Nadal used both hands for forehand shots but his uncle Toni asked him to use left hand for the natural advantage on tennis court. He was coached by his own uncle still 2016, Later he appointed his new coach Carlos Moya.

He won the under 12 regional tennis championship at the age of 8 and he won the Spanish and European tennis titles in the age of 12. He also had great interest in football that time. His father asked him to choose football or tennis so that he won’t lose his studies. He chooses tennis and stops playing football. In 2005 he won his first French Open title at the age of 19. It was his first try in the tournament and he won 11 singles title in the same year. He was the quickest player to win 400 matches in his total games which are less than 500.
