The United States had a clash with Colombia and won the match for 4-0. The United States won the match by the hat-trick performance of the Samantha Mewis and the additional goal of her elder sister Kristie Mewis.
By this win US extends its unbeaten record to 33 matches and in their own country the World Cup champions records their 49th match. After their She Believes Cup match in previous year March this was the first home match for the Americans. Colombia didn’t play any game last year.

Alex Morgan is not among the team members, she signed holidays in the corona virus period. In this match against Colombians Carli Lloyd starts her journey and after a long break due to COVID-19 Megan Rapinoe returns back to action.

In the fourth minute Samantha Mewis hit a goal which was passed by Rapinoe. She scored her next goal in the 33rd minute and in the second half she throws the penalty kick to record her hat-trick performance.
In the second half Kristie Mewis enters as a substitute and in the 86th minute of the game she hit her 3rd international goal in her career.
In the second half Catarina Macario enters the field and did her first participation for the national team. Macario was basically a Brazil citizen but she got the US citizenship during the fall and the FIFA accepts her to play for US. She made a contract with French powerhouse Lyon and plans to go Stanford in her senior season.
The midfielders Daniela Montoya, Diana Carolina Ospina and defender Carolina Arias are the three players who left the team Colombia in the match. Because of the COVID-19 rules they were in isolation. The midfielder Ana Gabriela was the fourth Colombia player who missed the match because of the improper test results and left out of the match.

Both the teams will have their next match on Exploria Stadium on Friday and the presence of all these players are expected on that day.
Before the match Vlatko Andonovski, the coach of US declares that the team will be captained by the defender Becky Sauerbrunn. The captain position was passed among the experienced players in recent years which include Rapinoe and Lloyd.
After the victory of 2019 World Cup the US coach Jill Ellis was replaced by Andonovski.
