Hockey : Indian Midfielder Salima Tete said, “Our Indian Women’s Hockey team has gained more confidence from Tokyo Olympics better results. In the Tokyo Hockey games Indian women’s team made nail biting situation against some of the top teams”.
The 26-years Rani Rampal-led side made history while defeated the big three-time Olympic gold medalists Australia at 1-0 in the quarterfinal.
Salima Tete said,
“Our Women’s Hockey team started slowly in the Tokyo games and we really disappointed while we lost against Great Britain. Now we got more positive results from the tournament”.
“We didn’t own a medal,but we gained more confidence to produce better results for the upcoming matches. We always tried to push the ball on forward and attack our opponents to post a goal. We made more opportunities to goal”.
“Actually from this Tokyo games i have learned more by playing in nail biting situations and i will expose this to upcoming matches”.
