US Open 2020 – Sumit Nagal Won the Draw Grand Slam Match Since 2013


US Open 2020 : Sumit Nagal faced Bradley Klahn and got his triumph against the American in the score of  6-1, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1. He was delighted and couldn’t believe his success, he leaned over his racquet. He was not able to control himself, on Thursday he will face the world no 3 Dominic Thiem in the second round.


 Last Year Sumit Nagal faced No 3 Roger Federer at a Grand Slam main draw, after a tough fight Nagal lost his match to Federer, it was the first time Nagal  played in the Grand Slam.

Nagal won the opening set against klahn, he starts the game steadily and committed only one unforced error but the American had 17 ,in the end it became 17 to 40. It was not because of the shots of klahn but Nagal’s good turn makes impressive and in the second set klahn won 23 of the 87 points on Nagal’s serve.

In the match as a fittest player, Nagal covered 721 feet more  than klahn. After the second set Klahn need a medical time out for the back issue, he got some time to recover both physically and mentally and later he played efficiently.

In the third set, Klahn defeats Nagal for the first time in the match and gave a turning point. In the fourth set Nagal plays steadily using his witty tricks and powerful forehands he played the percentage shots. In these entire matches Nagal shows a little nervous on his own serve, game lasts up to 2 hours and 12 minutes.

This fabulous victory makes Nagal India’s number 1 player to win the main draw at a Grand Slam after 7 years, Somdev Devvarman won the US Open main draw since 2013.
