Virat Kohli, the Indian Cricket team captain grabs the two awards of the ICC top honours for the past 10 year. Kohli won the Sir Garfield Sobers award which provides for the best male cricketers of the decade.
He also won the ODI Cricketer of the Decade award. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the former captain grabs the “ICC Spirit of Cricket Award of the Decade“. For his action of calling the England batsman Ian Bell again after his strange run out in 2011 Nottingham test, he was selected by his fans for this award.

An announcement was made in the twitter by the International Cricket Council, they gave high honors to Kohli because during the “ICC Awards” time he scores 66 International hundreds out of total 70.
He was also named as a batsman with most fifties (94), most runs (20396) and having the most average of (56.97). In ODIs he scores 12040 runs, in test he scores 7318 runs and in T20 Internationals he scores 2928 runs. Kohli was also a member of 2011 World Cup Winning Indian Team.

R Ashwin, Joe Root, Kumar Sangakkara, Steve Smith, Ab de Villiers and Kane Williamson are the other nominees of the ICC Male Cricketer of the decade.

- Ellyse Perry – ICC Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Decade.
- Rashid Khan – ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Decade.
- Ellyse Perry – ICC Women’s T20I Cricketer of the Decade.
- Kyle Coetzer – ICC Men’s Associate Cricketer of the Decade.
- Kathryn Bryce – ICC Women’s Associate Cricketer of the Decade.
- MS Dhoni – ICC Spirit of Cricket Award of the Decade.
Kohli said in a Statement that,” It’s a great respect for me to get this award. In the last 10 years the amazing period for me is the World Cup win in 2011, the Champions Trophy in 2013 and the victory in the series of Australia in 2018″.

Kohli was the only player who got select in the team of the decade in all formats and he was selected as the captain of Test all-stars.
In ICC awards Kohli was the only player with more than 10,000 runs and 39 hundreds, 48 fifties at average of 61.83.
Kohli is the most successful captain who won 33 test matches. During the year 2016 and 2017 he scores hundred in test matches in total seven counties out of eight. He scored six double hundreds in these years and it can be considered as a good time in his career.
